I found some really cute Easter Baskets at Pottery Barn Kids, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend $50 on two small (but very cute) baskets! Instead I decided to get creative and see how much money I could save by making the twins' baskets. I ended up buying 2 plain small baskets at a craft store and then sewing cute basket liners for each of them. I managed to spend less than $10 total! We put plastic Easter eggs in their baskets and the twins have been carrying around their baskets, dumping out the eggs and putting them back in. They think it is super fun! I think Easter will be a month long holiday at our house!

thanks a lot. you are making me reconsider purchasing the pb easter basket now. i was rationalizing it by saying he could use it again...
i am very impressed with your skills. will you teach yourself to embroider now too.
me too! I literally have Pottery Barn's website open and was in the middle of purchasing the basket when I realized I couldn't find my credit card, then I read this, and now I'm thinking "Gina, teach me how to sew the liner so I can make my own!" For reals, call or write and try to explain please!
